Job Description

Oracle's Data Center Engineering team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with background in designing mechanical systems for data centers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

12+ years of experience in mechanical design for critical infrastructures

Experience with air- and liquid-cooled topologies, Direct-To-Chip, Manifold, CDU, QD, UQDB, RDHX and redundancy schemes

Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Applied Physics, or related technical discipline.

Professional Engineering (PE) license

Proficiency with CAD/BIM (AutoCAD/Revit)

Responsibilities

Develop standardized mechanical design packages for white and grey space, including modular reference designs for air- and liquid-cooled solutions.

Develop equipment specifications covering capacities, performance curves, materials compatibility, environmental ratings, certifications/compliance, and detailed submittal requirements.

Define architectures for redundancy and reliability; ensure concurrent maintainability and alignment with uptime targets.

Lead cross-functional integration across mechanical, electrical, and controls by defining interfaces and dependencies, and produce clear, coordinated design deliverables.

Link design intent to commissioning and validation, and feed lessons learned back into the standards.

Own the standards lifecycle and ensure compliance with ASHRAE/local codes and internal policies.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
