Please review the following job description:

Entry level position that supports the Truist Unclaimed Property and Escheat Reporting program. Developing basic knowledge of the escheatment and unclaimed property laws and regulations. Assists with data management, preparation of and remittance of state reporting, and customer service support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing knowledge of unclaimed property laws and regulatory guidelines. Provides support for daily operations and communicates with internal and external clients to properly document account status. Research dormant accounts and monitor transactions for non-post items and make "pay or return" decisions on monetary and maintenance transactions. Responsible for reconciling safe deposit box shipments, entering client information into the unclaimed property system and storing contents in the central vault for future retrieval. Perform due diligence research and work production reports to track escheatable accounts Analyze, report and timely file unclaimed property in accordance with escheatment laws and Truist corporate policies. Responds to verbal, written and electronic unclaimed property related inquiries from internal business partners and external clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

1-2 year of banking operations experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to perform analytical research

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of college or 2+ years of banking operations experience

Working knowledge of banking systems

Knowledge of unclaimed property laws and guidelines

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
