The ideal candidate will have an interest in publishing books and contributing to culture, and will also have a demonstrated track record of: handling multiple projects both independently and collaboratively; successfully meeting deadlines; excellent communication skills; and excellent follow-through. They will work well independently while also actively contributing to a team's success. The person in this position: Supports digital promotion efforts, in collaboration with Digital Marketing Manager, including email marketing, social media and influencer campaigns and research, and website promotions. Maintains and improves title metadata with the goal of promoting discoverability, engagement with audiences, and book sales. Coordinates all aspects of scholarly conference, trade and consumer show exhibit participation to effectively represent the Press's books, authors, and brand. Supports course adoption through desk and exam copy request processing. Provides excellent service to direct customers of the Press. Job Duties: Digital Marketing (45%): Craft and execute targeted email and e-newsletter campaigns and website promotions. Maintain subscriber and customer contacts. Track and report on campaign performance. Conduct targeted research and create content to support social media promotion. Maintain accuracy of metadata in title management and project management systems. Identify improvements to title metadata and website using analytics, SEO principles, and metadata best practices, with the goal of improving discoverability. Exhibit Marketing (45%) Develop and execute plans for scholarly conferences and consumer/trade show participation. Coordinate all exhibit related activities and logistics. Plan and implement conference-based promotion, including: outreach to authors, website sales, and coordination with social media. Design and produce marketing collateral and assets. Reconcile sales and issue reports promptly after an event. Monitor and maintain exhibits program budget items. Customer Service and Administrative Support (10%): Fulfill desk and exam copy requests to support course adoption. Provide direct service to customers who contact the Press. Represent the Press at conferences and other events, with travel required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS degree or a combination of education and work experience to equal four years. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in digital marketing and event planning. Demonstrated attention to detail and high-level organization skills. Experience using MS Office, Google applications, WordPress, InDesign, and database applications. Occasionally lift boxes and materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel several times per year.
