POSITION SUMMARY
CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer within the Aetna Digital team, that will create applications pivotal in shaping the digital experience for millions of Aetna members. As a Senior Engineer, you will be a key individual contributor on the team focused on design, development and implementation of digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.
Expectations for the Role:
Design and define the technical architecture and infrastructure required for digital solutions
Write code, develop software components and implement complex functionalities according to project requirements
Collaborate with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns, and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions
Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance and ensure code efficiency
Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution
Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions
Participate in Agile or other development methodologies, attend meetings, contribute to project planning and help drive the progress and success of digital projects
Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional experience within Information Technology and/or working within Digital Engineering Teams
2+ years of execution and delivery experience (planning, delivering, and supporting) to include collaborating with Stakeholders, Senior Leadership and Cross Functional teams.
1+ years within the Healthcare domain with specific knowledge of US based Health plans
Adept at problem solving and decision-making skills
1+ year working with Agile methodology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a consultancy capacity, whether support external clients or internal stakeholders
Adept at collaboration and teamwork
Proven experience showing a growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others)
Curiosity to continually be learning and keeping up to date with current regulations as it relates to US Healthcare
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $222,480.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
