Job Description & Qualifications: Job Summary Provide student-focused, accounting classroom-based support to engage students, adapt instruction as needed, and monitor student progress to improve persistence and retention in accounting courses. NTC is hiring an Instructional Assistant for: Accounting 1, Payroll Accounting, Individual Tax Accounting, VITA, and Accounting Fundamentals. Provide 5 to 6 hours per week of on campus student support in the Accounting Lab. Provide an additional 2 to 4 hours per week of virtual support focused on Starfish management and tracking, along with online tutoring services. Interested candidates may work as Instructional Assistants for more than one course, not to exceed 18 hours per week. This is a is a temporary, Limited Term Employee (LTE) position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation. Accounting Lab Accounting 1 Payroll Accounting Individual Tax Accounting Accounting Fundamentals VITA Minimum Qualifications Required In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position. Sucient knowledge in Accounting subject area; (earned a B or better in the course they will be assisting with); familiar with Workday; and able to maneuver Canvas. Good organizational skills, positive interpersonal skills, and eective written and oral communication skills required. Ability to maintain condentiality required.
