Responsibilities THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION The primary purpose of this position, employee will serve as an integrator that coordinates the business processes, software functions, and training. The primary functions is to ensure the business process is in place to support the implementation of new and updated information technology systems, serving as the functional expert for all matters relating to training for the Cerner Millennium Electronic Health Record (EHR) package. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following: Integrator that coordinates business processes, software functions, and training. Ensure the business process is in place to support the implementation of new and updated information technology systems. Serves as the functional expert for all matters related to training for the new Electronic Health Record. Responsible for the coordination and training for service and facility staff in administrative and clinical areas for the new Electronic Health Record. Provides training and troubleshooting for clinical and administrative staff in business processes. Provides training for individual users on daily operational tasks and trains new users. Responsible for developing and presenting both formal lectures and on-the-job sessions. Trains users in resolving minor processing and equipment problems. Works with supervisors and collects information about the data and training needs for the service areas. Collects individual needs to determine menu access and training options for local, regional and national staff. Tracks, documents and records training attendance and completion. Serves as the technical expert in Talent Management System (TMS) and requires TMS Administrator skills. Problem solver with the special ability to integrate overall knowledge of the system and the training process, and to be innovative in the process. Provides testing of new options and software versions prior to implementation to gain familiarity with the new product features and confirms that software is working according to specifications. Provides support to the Informatics Service by providing information and analysis of software functions within the service. Responsible for designating and preparing data management, special studies, and reports for use by top management for budget preparation, workload projections, and quality assurance and utilization reviews. Prepares and delivers regularly recurring reports of training and program goals to leadership. Performs other duties, as necessary. Qualifications In order to qualify for the Program Application Specialist - Training Coordinator GS-9 positions, applicant must meet at least one of the following minimum qualification requirements. A. EXPERIENCE: Required one full year of specialized experience that equipped the you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-7) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes coordinating training for facility staff in various administrative and clinical areas; analyzing, evaluating, advising, and coordinating all operations related to staff training; providing training and troubleshooting for staff in business processes and associated supporting training software; and tracking/maintaining documents/records to report on training attendance and completion. OR B. EDUCATION (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Requires the successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree Or LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR C. COMBINATION (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education combined with specialized experience describes above to meet total qualification requirements.
