Job Title: Electrical Wireman - Up to $22/HR

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Wireman to join our team, specializing in industrial-commercial settings. This role involves assembling large power distribution equipment, including wiring control panels, relays, and switchboards. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team to complete detailed work orders over extended periods.

Responsibilities

Assemble large power distribution equipment in an industrial-commercial setting.

Wire control panels, relays, and switchboards.

Read and interpret schematic diagrams to complete work orders.

Work collaboratively with a team to ensure timely completion of projects.

Route, terminate, crimp, and strip wires.

Perform minor mechanical assembly to add mounting devices.

Read and analyze a Bill of Materials to determine necessary wires and lugs.

Troubleshoot wiring and component application problems in switchgear equipment.

Essential Skills

Commercial or industrial electrical experience.

Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Proficiency with electrical tools and tape measures.

Experience with point-to-point wiring and panel building.

Strong troubleshooting skills for switchgear equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Conduit experience (rigid or EMT) is preferred.

Switchgear experience is a plus.

Journeyman Card is a plus.

Industrial electrician back ground is advantageous.

Commercial or residential electrical experience is considered.

Work Environment

This position is based in a well-lit, climate-controlled facility that fosters a laid-back work environment without micromanagement. Employees are expected to work at a steady pace to complete units on time, collaborating with mechanical assemblers and other fabricators. The facility manufactures substations, switchgear, circuit breakers, and various electrical systems, with potential overtime of 5-10 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
