A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Workday Learning & Enablement Partner provides enterprise-level leadership for how employees, managers, and HR experience, adopt, and effectively use Workday. This role is accountable for the strategy, design standards, governance, and ongoing optimization of Workday Learning, Journeys, and Messaging, as well as enterprise Workday user enablement and training.
This role ensures Workday capabilities are intentionally designed and connected to support onboarding, role transitions, talent programs, compliance, and change initiatives, translating Workday investments into measurable adoption and business value.
Essential Functions:
Workday Learning, Journeys, and Messaging Configuration
Configure and maintain Workday Learning, including:
Courses, programs, learning paths, and campaigns
Instructor-led, blended, and digital learning offerings
Enrollment rules, prerequisites, equivalencies, and completion criteria
Configure and manage Workday Journeys to support:
Onboarding and role transitions
Manager enablement and critical moments that matter
Enterprise change and talent initiatives
Configure and govern Workday Messaging to deliver targeted, role-based communications aligned to Journeys and system events
Support integrations with internal systems and external learning content providers
Perform configuration updates across sandbox, preview, and production environments following established change management protocols
Workday Enablement & Training Strategy
Own the enterprise strategy for Workday user enablement and training across HR, Managers and Employees
Design and maintain role-based Workday training curriculum using Workday Learning and embedded Journeys
Ensure enablement is embedded into the flow of work, not delivered as stand-alone training
Deliver and facilitate Workday training sessions for HR, Managers, and Employees, directly or through a train-the-trainer model
Enterprise Design Standards & Governance
Define and maintain enterprise design standards for Learning, Journeys, and Messaging
Establish and evolve governance for learning content, journeys, communications and enablement materials
Ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance across Workday experiences
Serve as an advanced escalation point for complex design, configuration, or enablement decisions
Optimization, Adoption & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate Workday roadmap and releases to identify opportunities to improve experience and adoption
Lead testing, validation, and deployment of new features and enhancements
Monitor adoption and effectiveness of learning, journeys, and enablement efforts
Recommend improvements based on usage data, stakeholder feedback, and Workday best practices
Other Important Details about the Role:
Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for Workday Learning, Journeys, Messaging and enablement-related issues
Troubleshoot configuration, business process, and experience-related issues
Partner with other Workday Partners, HR, and COEs on change management and communications
Develop and maintain documentation, job aids, and training materials
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Learning, HR, or Information Systems
6+ years of experience in HR Systems, learning platforms or Workday
Demonstrated expertise in Workday Learning and employee enablement
Experience partnering with senior HR and business leaders on enterprise initiatives
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Workday Learning certification
Experience supporting Journeys and Messaging implementations
Experience designing enterprise Workday training and adoption strategies
Familiarity with global learning and compliance requirements
