Rotating Equip. and Electrical Team Lead

As the REEL Team Lead (Rotating Equipment and Electrical Lead), you will set the strategic direction and ensure technical assurance and operational excellence for the Rotating Equipment and Electrical discipline across Shells Deepwater Gulf of America assets. Reporting to the Engineering and Technology Manager, youll lead a team of engineers and specialists, providing both tactical and strategic support to Production, Maintenance, and Reliability teams. This role is critical in driving compliance with Shells Safety, Environmental, and Asset Management (SEAM) processes and delivering continuous improvements in equipment availability, integrity, and performance.

Accountabilities:

Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team: 5 Rotating Equipment Engineers, 2 Specialists, 3 Electrical Engineers, and 9 contractors supporting 10 operating assets

Develop and optimize equipment care strategies aligned with Strategic Asset Management Plans (ESAMP)

Ensure compliance with AMS processes, including Reliability Centred Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Management of Change, Ensure Safe Production and Proactive Technical Monitoring

Own and refresh the Discipline Assurance Framework, including risk matrix and strategy staircase.

Provide technical input to Asset Care Plans (ACPs), including life extension and obsolescence strategies

Manage discipline-specific KPIs and adjust programs based on performance insights

Act as contract owner for rotating equipment and electrical suppliers

Deliver technical requirements for execution organizations, including turnaround and maintenance, and provide assurance during execution

Lead proactive technical monitoring and digitalization initiatives (e.g., ESP-PTM)

Manage team budget and ensure effective resource allocation

Develop and maintain skill pool and succession planning for rotating and electrical disciplines

Collaborate across teams for troubleshooting, failure analysis, and defect elimination

What you bring

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline

Must demonstrate technical expertise in rotating equipment machinery to be able to get certified as most senior technical expert in Shell system

At least 15 years of industry experience in Rotating Equipment preferably in operating assets combined with 5 years of leadership experience managing technical team

Experience with SEAM processes and digital tools for eq
