Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting Support team in Dayton, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, supporting compliance, and maintaining internal controls. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a commitment to upholding accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Process and review invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Assist in preparing journal entries and financial notes to support reporting requirements.

Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

Conduct thorough reviews of transactional records and cost accounting data.

Collaborate with team members to produce status reports and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and Workday to manage and analyze financial information.

Support compliance efforts by adhering to established procedures and accounting standards.

Address phone screens and inquiries related to accounting functions.

Provide assistance in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and workflows. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with accounting procedures, cost accounting, and transactional processes.

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and internal control practices.

Experience with financial data management and accounting functions.

Ability to review and process invoices with a high level of accuracy.

Strong communication skills for handling inquiries and collaborating with colleagues.

Experience using Workday or similar accounting software.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining compliance and accuracy.
