What we're looking for:
As an Account Manager for Indovinya's Performance Products Nutrition & Health market you will be responsible for the management of existing customers and for developing and securing new opportunities within and beyond your core accounts.
What will be expected from you?
This role covers several markets within Performance Products, including Pharma, Nutraceutical, Food & potentially Industrial markets. The role is responsible for developing & management of new and existing accounts at Indorama in the Performance Products Nutrition & Health market segment, covering direct channels to market, as well as distributor channels. The role's primary requirement is business growth in these segments and given the current relatively small book of business, may require industrial account (including distributor) coverage. You will manage and execute distribution strategy, in addition to all day-to-day account responsibilities (support/follow up on quotations, relationships, pipeline of opportunities, call reports, account plans, etc). This role reports to the Distribution Commercial Manager. This role reports to the Performance Products, N&H Commercial Manager.
· Align with organizational priorities and implement strategy. Take a leadership role to identify and remove barriers, where necessary, as in the case for Pharma, Food & potentially Industrial markets (direct or distribution)
· Identify opportunities and align organizational goals to capitalize on accelerated share growth
· Understand organizational priorities, co-develop and implement market plans & account plans aligned with the segment's strategic plan and ensure adequate communication and awareness within the organization.
· Understand customer's business needs and priorities, discovering and validating key challenges & quantifying opportunities.
· Assure alignment to provide a service recognized as valuable by the accounts in terms of Negotiation / TS&D / Commercial /Innovation / Quality / Supply Chain project running and implementation / etc.
· Connect customer needs with the Indorama strategy.
· Develop network between the main contacts of the customer, managing relationships in commercial, marketing and R&D areas.
· Define and track expected results for the Account, which will include distribution program management of opportunity pipelines, growth expectations & KPI's
· Manage business and develop a robust, updated opportunity pipeline.
· Ensure the results of accounts are maximized and be responsible for the results of the business.
· Work collaboratively with cross functional teams in a regional and global setting.
· Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
· Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
· Troubleshoot problems regarding products, provide answers to client's questions, and handle complaints
· Participate on behalf of Indorama, with representation at key conferences and trade shows
· Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time (as needed).
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
· Bachelors Degree or higher in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
· 10 years experience in chemical sales, experience in food or pharma is a plus.
· Willing to travel up to 50%.
· The ability to sell in a wide variety of markets, and have the ability to build relationships at target accounts.
· High level of organization, to balance multiple activities (customer visits, reporting, training, and forecasting).
· excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
· a valid Drivers license
· Demonstrate accelerated levels of account management & organizational leadership including but not limited to:
o Growth in market share of participating segments/markets
o Leading team members through projects needed to support sales initiatives
o Troubleshooting, internal collaboration to remove barriers & obstacles unique to the Performance Products space & personal care distribution customers
o Results oriented time management
· Build positive, constructive, internal & external relationships to accomplish goals
· Must have a level of proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs
· Performance Products Nutrition & Health specific knowledge: products, applications, customers and competitors
· Experience and Knowledge of the Surfactants Market
· Solid knowledge and relationship network within the Nutrition & Health market.
· Effectiveness at working in a global matrix team environment and experience in managing global accounts
· Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teams, reporting updates out on a regular cadence
· Fluent in English (Mandatory). Multilingual skills are a plus
· Excellent communication and cross-cultural awareness skills
· Strong work ethic with a constructive, hands-on attitude
