Stun Tech Worthington, MN

Quality Control- Yards

Hours:

1st shift-flexible as needed

Saturday hours as needed/required

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Propereuthanizing ofNon-ambulatory or injured animals

Assisting in the ante-mortem inspection process

Monitor and assist in slow hog movement

Assisting with Loader Operations

Assisting with the unloading of trucks

Audits in various areas of Livestock

Security Checks

Conduct Animal Welfare audits

Maintain good communication with the USDA

Other duties as assigned

WORK CONDITIONS

Work 40+ hours per week on production floor

Possible exposure to slippery floors, extreme temperature variations, loud noise, chemicals, sharp objectives (knives), machinery, and vehicles

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 6 months of technical services/quality assurance, food safety, auditing, or production experience preferred.

Understanding of USDA requirements (HACCP). Able to rethink and improve business for continued growth.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Team Player

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to write legibly

Knowledge of animal welfare requirements

Heavy lifting required

Ability to provide leadership/motivation to engage employees in the business.

Basic computer and Microsoft Office software skills.

Internal applicants must have no more than 3 attendance points and no written warnings or suspensions in the last calendar year.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

Base hourly salary range: $21.60-$25.75
