Summary You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic Leader in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will be responsible for leading others to evaluate and coordinate current and future workloads, along with performing overhaul and repair maintenance on the aircraft in the assembly/disassembly of the assigned component. You will monitor aircraft production progress to achieve or improve scheduled completion and will have direct engagement with the Aircraft Production Management Team on a daily basis. You will work and complete assignments with little or no guidance as well as being knowledgeable of hydraulic units, cylinders, flight controls, and hardware used on all @types of aircraft. You will demonstrate the composition, operation, and installation of a variety of aircraft systems such as fuel, hydraulics, oil, and components on how various systems and assemblies interrelate and work together. You will interpret and comply with complicated blueprints, technical manuals, and instructions to remove, replace, align, and adjust complex systems and assemblies. You will troubleshoot complex aircraft systems and effect repairs as well as performing operational system checks of aircraft mechanical systems. Education Additional Information This position requires rotating shift work. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. Physical exertion requires heavy lifting and carrying objects up to 45lbs. Any weight above 40lbs will not be attempted unaided. Incumbent may require climbing up to heights of 20ft. Environment factors may include excessive heat, noise, dust, vibration, and working in confined spaces. Possibility of exposure to cuts, electrical shock, strains, and broken bones.
