Responsibilities

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team here in Wichita, Kansas.

Position Highlights:

Join a collaborative team of Cardiologists, APPs, and staff.

Full-time opportunity with rotating weekend call of 1:6.

Provide patient-centered, quality care to the Wichita Community.

Responsibilities:

Obtain patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.

Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.

Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Certified Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s):

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing.

Education:

Master's degree of Nursing required.
