Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Accounting Clerk to join our team in Piedmont, South Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a background in accounting and administrative tasks who thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update employee profiles by accurately entering and organizing data into the appropriate folders.

Perform data entry for accounts payable, including matching and coding invoices to specific job codes.

Assist in processing and filing approximately 100+ invoices weekly, ensuring timely submission to project managers.

Facilitate bi-monthly check processing by matching and organizing 100-200 checks for signature.

Manage subcontractor insurance certificates, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Verify workman's compensation coverage for subcontractors when applicable.

Support accounts payable operations by stamping, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounting or administrative roles.

Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong familiarity with QuickBooks and other accounting software.

Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to process invoices and match them to appropriate job codes.

Experience managing insurance certificates and verifying compliance.

Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project managers.
