Job description
Job Summary:
The Data Analyst - Supply Chain supports Safran's aftermarket growth by driving the transformation of supply chain processes, standards, and data governance across Safran Electronics & Defense. This role ensures the integrity, quality, and performance of supply chain data, strengthens data-driven operations, and contributes to enterprise-wide governance that enables reliable, interoperable information across systems. The position directly supports process excellence across a complex network of product families and sites throughout the Americas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Data Governance & Process Excellence
Establish, implement, and continuously improve data governance for supply chain business processes.
Serve as the process owner and key reference for all governance-related decisions within the supply chain domain.
Define key process data, related quality metrics, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.
Organize and maintain mapping of data assets; ensure consistent, accurate, and high-quality information across systems and entities.
Manage the consistency of multi-company data repositories and resolve discrepancies to align with group strategy.
Support the design of governance frameworks that ensure interoperability of quality data across all enterprise processes.
Ensure proper application of governance rules and oversee continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Data Leadership
Build and lead a data organization dedicated to supply chain functions.
Monitor and assess data assets using defined criteria; track excellence indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
Provide problem-solving expertise and methodological support on local and cross-functional initiatives.
Ensure ERP data integrity, completeness, and availability for transformation, convergence, and migration projects.
Participate in or lead Business Process Steering Committees to drive progress plans and resolve major interface issues.
Transformation & Change Management
Lead change initiatives, promote adoption of new standards, and align cross-functional stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Facilitate onboarding and upskilling of the SED data community, cultivating best practices and sharing standards.
Manage progress or convergence plans in collaboration with business partners.
Contribute to the development of project roadmaps and actively support their execution.
Transformation & Change Management
Lead change initiatives, promote adoption of new standards, and align cross-functional stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Facilitate onboarding and upskilling of the SED data community, cultivating best practices and sharing standards.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copier/printer. Must be able to exchange accurate information and assess details at close range. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across the office as needed.
Work Environment
The work environment is split between office and laboratory work, with most duties performed in the office. Office noise level is typically quiet, while laboratory environments may occasionally require hearing protection.
Candidate skills & requirements
Required Competencies:
Experience & Technical Skills
5-10 years of supply chain experience with a strong data and analytics background.
Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and their impact within ERP environments.
Hands-on experience in data management, preferably in a transforming or scaling organization.
Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other analytical tools.
Knowledge of commodity groups, material classifications, and SAP Material Master Data.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-orientation.
Cross-functional leadership and project management experience.
Professional Skills
Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
Ability to quickly set and achieve ambitious goals.
Lean or continuous improvement experience preferred.
APICS or NAPM certification preferred.
Proven track record in sustaining supplier on-time delivery performance.
Strong command of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and SAP.
