As a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoD client, your responsibilities will include:
Leading the design, development, and operation of Zero Trust security solutions
Ensuring alignment of designs with customer requirements and DoD Zero Trust Execution Roadmap
Researching and evaluating new technologies to identify opportunities for security enhancements
Leading the development and fielding of secure network solutions to protect against advanced persistent threats
Analyzing security systems and seeking continuous improvements
Ensuring adherence to industry best practices and security standards
Collaborating with other teams, including network and hardware teams, to ensure security is integrated into the overall system
Briefing client leadership on design decisions and system operations
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to effectively assess technologies to meet customer and regulatory requirements
Experience with ethical hacking techniques to identify vulnerabilities in systems
Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and solve complex problems
Thorough understanding of Zero Trust security in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid-cloud environments
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Up to date with the latest security threats and technologies
Ability to adjust to changing circumstances and new technologies
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience
Current Secret clearance
DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
Experience in designing, implementing, and integrating large-scale Zero Trust solutions
Knowledge of DoD Zero Trust requirements, as defined in the DoD Zero Trust Execution Roadmap
Experience in DoD environment with knowledge of computer and network security concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
Experience implementing security tools and understanding methodologies for Zero Trust capabilities such as EDR, UEM/MDM, ICAM, network access control, micro-segmentation, data protection, and data tagging
Experience integrating solutions with SIEM/SOAR tools for cyber security monitoring and automated response
Experience configuring and securing Linux, Windows, and UNIX systems
Experience with implementing network scanning and automation tools, such as Tenable, Remedy, OSCAP, Ansible, etc.
Knowledge of encryption algorithms and best practices
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Awareness of standards like ISO 27001, NIST
Previous experience working in a DoD STIG/RMF environment.

The likely salary range for this position is $124,556 - $168,516. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
