The Role

Outsourcing of structural assemblies and manufactured parts and assemblies is a key lever to support the growing demand of Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) contracts. The NNS Outsourcing department within Supply Chain Management (SCM) is looking to hire a leader to act as a Superintendent for large structure assemblies. As Superintendent, this leader will be accountable for oversight of outsourcing objectives at a portfolio of suppliers to include quality and schedule performance. Candidate will need to exhibit strong program management skills and sound communication skills. Additionally, candidate must have experience in setting and operating to objectives as well as providing guidance to team members based on goals, objectives and company policies. Position will require a large amount of travel and extended durations in Charleston, SC and/or other strategic suppliers.

Must Have

BS/Apprentice + 8 years construction/production management experience OR Non-BS/Non-Apprentice + 10 years construction/production management experience.
