Overview: Our company, a leading provider in the oil and gas equipment pipe sector, is seeking a motivated and highly dependable Operations Manager to serve as the second-in-command. This role is designed for a proven leader who thrives in high-pressure environments, is passionate about process improvement, and can work seamlessly with a wide range of personalities. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll have the unique opportunity to drive operational excellence and support overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations across multiple shop floors, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

Analyze workflows to identify and implement process efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.

Proactively detect and resolve discrepancies in procedures, materials, or scheduling.

Support and optimize shop scheduling, coordinating resources and personnel for maximum productivity.

Collaborate with executive leadership on business strategy, operational budgets, and financial reporting.

Develop strong cross-functional relationships with staff and management, fostering teamwork and accountability.

Maintain detailed documentation of operations and report regularly on key metrics and project outcomes.

Adapt quickly to rapid changes and guide teams through high-pressure situations with confidence and composure.

Lead by example to promote a culture of reliability, integrity, and ongoing development.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience managing or running a business, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas environment.

Strong understanding of business operations, including financial acumen and experience with budgets and scheduling.

Exceptional reliability, dependability, and follow-through on commitments.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, building strong partnerships at all levels.

Outstanding problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in seeking ways to improve processes.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.

Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities.

Self-starter who brings energy, initiative, and an eagerness to take on new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the oil and gas equipment or pipe industry.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or process optimization methodologies.

Fluency in relevant business management software and shop management tools.
