Sr Mechanical Engineer (Thermal Chilled Water Systems)

Job Description Job Summary The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies. This person will work in a cross-functional development group. A variety of tasks and activities are required in this dynamic environment, and will handle some small-scale designs with guidance. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH - Polaris location. Responsibilities: Punctuality and regular attendance. Contribute to design projects and handle simple, tightly scoped design tasks with guidance. Create 3-Dimensional models using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package. Create and revise drawings and bill of materials Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed. Build proto@types to support the development of product design. Other Duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or directly related degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required with Associate degree; Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of applicable engineering modeling tools.
