Job Title: Engineer

Location: Naperville, Illinois

Type: 11 month Contract

Compensation: $36.00 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Hybrid

System One is currently seeking an Engineer on an 11 month contract position located in Naperville, IL.

Engineer Responsibilities:

Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.

Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications

Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost

Create a safe work environment by putting safety first

Understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance

Understand the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance

Understand design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design

Understand industry and Company design standards

Support design standard and criteria development for the system

Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations

Estimate material for projects

Transmit construction packages and supporting specifications

Engineer Requirements:

0-5 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with ABET Accreditation in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred

Prior internship or co-op experience in an engineering field preferred

Ability to read and interpret engineering plans - intermediate to advanced proficiency

MS Office - intermediate proficiency

Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization

CAD/GIS - basic proficiency, Hydraulic analysis experience, Project Management preferred

Introductory engineering knowledge

Basic problem-solving skills

Basic discipline software knowledge

Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
