Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT) in a CNIC, HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICES (HRO) of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO. Responsibilities You will advise customers on human resources regulations (e.g., Title 5, U.S. Code, Office of Personnel Management [OPM]). You will advise hiring managers and selecting officials on recruitment strategies for attracting the best qualified candidates for vacant positions. You will solve human resources problems that cross multiple program lines (e.g., recruitment, classification, compensation). You will evaluate position descriptions to determine pay plan, occupational series, and grade level using OPM Classification Standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing advice to managers and personnel on the hiring process; 2) Analyzing the duties of a position to determine the correct title, pay plan, series and grade level; 3) Recommending recruitment and placement strategies and options; 4) Assessing organizational needs regarding succession planning, recruitment and position growth and progression.
