Electromechanical Assembly Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Electromechanical Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling high-speed turbo motors, generators, and turbo machinery equipment. You will perform sub-assembly and full system level testing in accordance with applicable drawings, schematics, and specifications for the Aerospace Defense Industry.

Responsibilities

Assemble high precision coil windings, sensors, and electric motor components and sub-assemblies.

Perform soldering of fine wiring.

Encapsulate electrical assemblies.

Follow blueprints, routers, and work instructions.

Essential Skills

Blueprint reading.

Electronic assembly.

Soldering skills.

3-5 years' experience assembling electrical parts in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, process routers, and work instructions.

Manual dexterity and ability to use fine precision tools, fixtures, and testing apparatus.

Experience working on proto@type, engineering, and production @type hardware using sketches and verbal instructions or notes.

Work Environment

Work in a medium manufacturing environment with approximately 120 employees, specifically within a department of 20 people focused on mechanical assembly. The role requires sitting or standing depending on the assembly line, with a glue smell present. Safety precautions include wearing steel-toed shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cypress, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
