THE POSITION
The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institute at Camp Hill is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clerical Assistant 2 you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution. You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments within the institution, operate office equipment and maintaining computer databases and records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.
Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60/65.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Graduation from high school;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
You must understand how to efficiently use and navigate a PC.
You must have two (2) years or more of experience with the Microsoft systems (Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.) and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets/calendars/documents/rosters etc.
You must have the ability to work with various office equipment such as: scanner, printer, fax machine, computer, tablet, telephone, personal communication devices etc.
You must have proficient keyboarding skills.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Able to stand and operate document scanning machines.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
