Summary You will serve as an EXERCISE SCHEDULER in the Marianas Island Range Complex of COMMANDER NAVAL FORCES MARIANAS. Responsibilities You will serve as the range scheduler, responsible for scheduling, scheduling systems, safety evaluations, and coordination of all exercise and event training activities and is the focal point for all scheduling matters You will schedule, coordinate, and control the military and civilian use of operating areas (OPAREAs) by subsurface, surface, and airborne platforms operating within and transiting to and from the Mariana Islands Range Complex. You will coordinate sorties and numerous major exercises annually. You will resolve hazardous mutually exclusive and sensitive events training areas and assign areas to be conducted. You will take prompt action to maintain situational awareness in airspace analysis, danger areas, hazardous operations. You will meet with coordinators of major exercises to assist in consolidating exercise requirements, resolving conflicts, scheduling exercise events, and ensuring compliance with existing policy and guidance. You will provide advice and counsel to all levels of the military structure in predicting, identifying, and resolving scheduling problems, which may impact the scheduling and operational processes. You will use computer equipment and software to include the Data Collection and Scheduling Tool (DCAST) in preparation of schedules and plans. You will maintain wall charts and boards, records, lists, logs and files in manual and computer-based systems. You will conduct briefs and debriefs of daily and extended exercises with exercise coordinators. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Scheduling, coordinating, and controlling subsurface, surface, and/or airborne platforms for military or civilian training exercises. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations published by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Coast Guard, and other governmental agencies. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Scheduling, coordinating, and controlling subsurface, surface, and/or airborne platforms for military or civilian training exercises. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations published by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Coast Guard, and other governmental agencies.
