We are seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic EMEA Field and Channel Marketing team, preferably based in the Amsterdam area. In this role, you'll support the planning and execution of high-touch executive programs, trade shows, Progress-hosted events, partner events, and other marketing experiences that engage customers and prospects across the Progress portfolio. This role will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to, and take direction from, the EMEA Event Lead.

You'll collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, vendors, and partners to deliver impactful events that strengthen relationships and drive results, while gaining hands-on experience managing logistics and processes that directly influence success.

In this role, you will:

Event Strategy & Planning

Develop and maintain a comprehensive events calendar to ensure strategic alignment and timely execution.

Identify requirements and expectations for each marketing event, collaborating with stakeholders to clarify goals and deliverables.

Prepare and implement detailed event plans, covering logistics, timelines, and resource needs.

Execution & Logistics

Drive flawless execution by managing logistics, timelines, vendor coordination, and event deliverables.

Research, evaluate, and secure suitable venues that meet event specifications.

Source, negotiate, and contract vendors to support event operations and services.

Secure speakers and sponsors to enhance event value and audience engagement.

Support end-to-end event operations including registration setup, communications, shipping, onsite support, and post-event reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Maintain communication with internal teams and assigned personnel to ensure alignment and task ownership.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, vendors, and partners to deliver impactful programs that generate pipeline and strengthen relationships.

Quality & Impact

Deliver exceptional attendee experiences by creating polished, professional, high-touch moments that make events memorable.

Ensure consistency and scalability by contributing to best practices, templates, and processes that raise the overall quality of events.

Manage assigned events (such as smaller field events, partner-hosted programs, or customer dinners), taking ownership from planning through post-event reporting.

Track and measure success by supporting event reporting, lead capture, and ROI analysis.

Your background:

2-4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or a related coordination role, with a proven track record of successful event execution.

Fluent in German (written and spoken), skilled in translating event-related content and leveraging AI tools to streamline localization and adapt content across emails, websites, and presentations.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with precision and professionalism.

A keen eye for detail - you take pride in ensuring nothing is overlooked and every element is executed flawlessly.

Clear and confident communication skills, paired with a collaborative mindset for working effectively across cross-functional teams, partners, and vendors.

A resourceful and proactive approach, focused on delivering smooth, polished experiences for both internal stakeholders and external attendees.

A hands-on attitude and willingness to dive into challenges, problem-solve, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with event and marketing tools such as registration platforms, CRM systems, and project management software (experience with tools like Cvent, Salesforce, or Asana is a plus).

Flexibility to travel up to 75%, supporting onsite event execution across the EMEA region as needed.
