Grow your career as During Travel Specialist within ALG Vacations. As a member of this team, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support to customers/TAs that experience issues day of departure or during travel. The specialist is expected to provide effective resolution with empathy, while meeting or exceeding specific service metrics. A successful team member is knowledgeable on B2B and B2C policies, has the ability to accurately interpret supplier policies and is highly skilled in process, customer service, de-escalation techniques and knowledgeable on destinations.
Essential Functions:
· Assist and resolve issues occurring for customers/TAs during travel
· Communicate and uphold policies pertaining to fulfillment of Travel Agent/Consumer expectations
· Support other areas: email, call volume, projects
· Investigate and resolve escalations, complete required follow up/after call work
· Focus on problem resolution with attention to detail and documentation to decrease errors and maintain profitability
· Resolve issues independently
· Ability to be flexible with scheduling
· Report system and product disruptions to service
· Act as the voice of the customer/TA and provide feedback for process improvements
· Ability to navigate multiple systems including MS Office, internet, and proprietary systems
· Ability to quickly and accurately comprehend numbers by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
· Communicate with others via voice, email and chat clearly and concisely
· Ability to cross train to multiple brands and being multi-functional
· Assist with call volume to meet service levels

Qualifications:
Experience Required:
· High School Diploma
· 1-3 years' experience
Experience Preferred:
· BS/BA or equivalent experience
· Previous experience in an equivalent role and GDS experience
· Experience with function-specific systems

The wage for this position is $20.50 per hour. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
