Summary You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER of NAS CORPUS CHRISTI. Responsibilities You will assess an emergency management program to determine enhancements and improvements that can be made to reduce the potential for loss of life and property. You will conduct emergency management training to establish personnel are prepared and certified in incident command systems. You will coordinate emergency management command and control functions to maintain effective operations of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC). You will determine resource and procedural requirements for Emergency Operations Center (EOC) functions to confirm funding is sufficient. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assists in developing, revising and executing Emergency Operation Procedures and other written guidance to support the Emergency Operations Center; 2) Apply Emergency Management concepts, policies and procedures; 3) Maintains a strong working knowledge of the capabilities, limitations and operation procedures associated with Mass Warning and Notification; 4) Develop and implement business rules and use of radio and computer-bases collaboration applications to promote effective command control of incident response operations; 5) Assist the Emergency Management Officer in establishing and maintaining an alternate EOC on or near the installation that is capable of supporting operations; 6) Document and maintain a 100% inventory of all communications, display and office equipment assigned to or located in the EOC and alternate EOC; 7) Assists in the development of integrated exercises and drill packages that support installation and EM program training objectives. Support the installation EMO for various administrative actions, including periodic reports, and data calls and other administrative tasks; 8) Assist with Exercises and Assessments.
