Role Summary: The Staff Product Manager for Transportation Strategic Initiatives will act as a central point of alignment across Walmart's transportation ecosystem-- connecting business strategy to technology execution. This role ensures that Walmart's enterprise transportation initiatives are clearly defined, effectively documented, and executed across multiple transportation domains, including inbound, outbound, optimization, yard management, and driver-facing applications. Operating at a Staff level, this product leader provides structure and clarity for large, complex initiatives that span multiple product lines and functions. They partner with senior product managers and subject matter experts to define scope, establish success metrics, and align execution across the transportation network. The role will also serve as the key Transportation representative in enterprise meetings, often presenting on behalf of the organization to senior executives to ensure progress and alignment with strategic priorities. What You'll Do
Lead cross-functional alignment across transportation domains to support Walmart's strategic initiatives and modernization efforts
Define product requirements that translate business goals into technical capabilities with measurable outcomes
Create and maintain clear documentation that connects enterprise objectives to transportation product roadmaps
Partner with product managers, operations, engineering, and data science teams to ensure execution consistency and delivery quality
Identify and resolve interdependencies between product lines, ensuring integrated solutions across inbound, outbound, optimization, yard, and driver applications
Serve as a product liaison in executive and enterprise forums, presenting progress, risk, and value realization on behalf of transportation
Develop frameworks that simplify complex business processes and promote consistent understanding of transportation capabilities
Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and data-informed decision making across functional and technical teams What You'll Bring
6+ years of product management experience, including demonstrated success leading initiatives at the Staff or Senior level in a large, matrixed organization
Strong understanding of transportation operations, logistics optimization, yard management, and driver enablement systems
Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and technical interdependencies
Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complexity into actionable clarity
Experience presenting to and influencing executive stakeholders to achieve strategic alignment
High degree of organizational awareness with the ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in ambiguity

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
