Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective
This position is responsible for ensuring that quality is applied throughout the product and manufacturing development processes. Ensure the effective implementation of the Integrated Management System and full compliance of customer, regulatory and company requirements achieving company business objectives on all activities performed at the design department

Works under regular supervision on moderately complex tasks.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Engineering Process Control:
Ensure all activities at the design department are performed in accordance to the documented instructions.
Continuous monitoring of design & development activities performance compliance to customer, regulatory, internal and all other applicable requirements.
With design engineering team, define, document, monitor and evaluate the effectivity of the design quality plans.
Training, coaching and assurance of Engineering QRQC activity.
Function as internal IMS auditor as required by the company internal audit plan.
Corrective and Preventive Actions Process:
Document and follow-up internal and external corrective actions.
Ensure proper and on time response to all required actions (ensure proper analysis and action plans).
Verify the effectiveness of the corrective actions implemented.
Maintain CA/PA system properly.
APQP Deployment:
Ensure proper support and follow up to all APQP activities of the develop team.
Ensure proper coordination with all departments for the proper APQP deployment.
Customer Communication:
Communicate with internal customers and ensure all issues are understood and attended.
Validate
IMS, Documentation and Records Control Process:
Be the IMS focal for the Engineering department and ensure Engineering processes definition and documentation.
Candidate skills & requirements
Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification-
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related technical field or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
Working Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, AS9145, ISO 14001, OHSAS18001.
APQP Tools knowledge and domain, PDCA, DMAIC and other related tools.
Level 2
Requires 2+ additional years experience in aerospace industry or equivalent in engineering, design & development or quality positions.
Intermediate experience in internal and external audit and audit techniques
Intermediate configuration and data management
C. Professional Skills-
MS office proficiency and intermediate skills with engineering related CAD tools (CATIA).
Organization and planning.
Flow chart and drawings interpretation (GD&T and gauge functions) as well as customer, internal and regulatory requirements.
Strong skills for quality issues investigation, audit, analysis and correction/prevention.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Strong cross functional skills to coordinate engineering issues with operations and other areas.
Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
Level 2
Develop and implement quality control plans for design processes.
