Industrial Electrician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) , three-phase motors , and a wide range of manufacturing equipment. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical systems and production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with PLCs , motor controls, and automated systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components, including three-phase motors , control panels, and wiring systems.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Ensure compliance with electrical codes , safety standards, and company policies.

Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.

Document all repairs, installations, and maintenance activities accurately.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing setting.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) programming and troubleshooting.

Expertise in three-phase motor systems and industrial power distribution.

Ability to work with various manufacturing equipment and automated systems.

Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and schematics.

Other Requirements:

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jessup, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.40/hr.
