Manufacturing Technician Level 2 - Sorrento Valley - Start Up Company - 3rd Shift

Job Description

The primary responsibility for this role involves kitting and packaging operations, including preparing manufactured cartridges for shipment. These tasks are critical as products are shipped across the US and internationally. The position requires working in a temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Perform kitting assembly operations.

Operate process equipment such as balances, pneumatic presses, pumps, and heat sealers.

Conduct simple bulk formulations when necessary.

Ensure the flow cell contains the correct product, following detailed work instructions housed in a cloud-based application.

Operate a heat sealing machine to properly seal the flow cell with foil.

Align the flow cell correctly in the labeling machine to ensure accurate reading by the sequencer.

Cut off excess foil using the designated machine.

Essential Skills

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Team player mindset.

Strong communication skills.

Proficiency in using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

Familiarity with cleanroom and production processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Comfortable leading a fill and pack line.

Comfortable with basic buffer formulation.

Willingness to learn or comfort with small volume (less than 1mL) aliquoting.

Work Environment

Contractors will work in a cleanroom environment, requiring lab coats and shoe covers. The role is for the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am with a 10% shift differential. The first day begins at 9am, with the first week scheduled from 9am to 5pm, transitioning to the regular shift in the second week. Overtime expectations are currently low.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $26.40/hr.
