Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Hillsborough, North Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity designed to give the selected candidate a chance to grow their skills and develop professionally within our organization. The role involves supporting a shared services environment, handling critical accounting tasks, and contributing to payroll and accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Handle payroll operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Assist in reconciling accounts and preparing necessary accounting entries.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify financial accuracy.

Support accounts receivable activities, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations across multiple companies.

Maintain detailed and organized financial records.

Contribute to general ledger management and tax-related tasks as needed.

Communicate effectively within a dynamic office environment.

Uphold company standards while working onsite at the designated location. Requirements - Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Familiarity with reconciling accounts and preparing accounting entries.

Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within a shared services environment.

Effective communication skills for collaboration in a team setting.

Ability to work onsite on a permanent basis in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Eagerness to learn and grow with attention to detail in accounting.

Previous exposure to payroll or general accounting functions is preferred but not required.
