Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in North Rockville, Maryland. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing company in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices with accuracy and ensure timely payments to vendors.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.

Conduct regular check runs and ensure proper documentation for payments.

Apply correct coding to invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions.

Perform data entry tasks to update financial systems with invoice and payment details.

Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

Utilize Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and tracking.

Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries or disputes.

Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline accounts payable processes.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

Proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice processing.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including check runs and coding invoices.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.

Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
