Description

The College of Business at Stony Brook University invites applications for a non-tenure track part time lecturer position to teach the International Finance during the Spring 2026 semester. This course covers 1) the international financial system, 2) international corporate finance, and 3) international investment.

All candidates are expected to teach International Finance, and to contribute to the services and professional missions of the College. As a part-time lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive and engaging courses related to the financial management in international market. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and a deep understanding of the international finance market.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Design and deliver engaging lectures and facilitate class discussions on topics related to international finance

Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to ensure relevance and effectiveness

Teach students in understanding the complexities the international financial system, international corporate finance, and international investment

Provide one-on-one mentoring to students supporting their academic and professional growth

Stay current with industry trends and incorporate real-world examples and case studies into the curriculum

Encourage critical thinking, problem solving, and innovative approaches in the classroom.

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and research projects

Contribute to the academic community through research, publications and conference presentations as time allows

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field

Demonstrated expertise in international finance, global markets, exchange rate risk, or multinational corporate finance

Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level

Strong communication and presentation skills

Analytical and quantitative skills relevant to international finance

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline

Professional experience in international financial institutions, multinational corporations, asset management, or risk management.
