As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Monroe, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional at this manufacturing and industrial location, you will oversee access control, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attentiveness will contribute to a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties, demonstrating our commitment to reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and offering assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow established protocols for reporting and escalation.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and observations throughout the shift.

Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and uphold site-specific policies.

Operate security-related equipment such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, and communication devices as required by the location.

Support the enforcement of company policies and procedures regarding property, personnel, and visitor movement within the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Customer service experience is preferred.

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
