Warehouse Associate- 1st Shift

6am-2:30pm

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a safe and organized work environment, and contributes to efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection:

Unload incoming shipments and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.

Inspect products for damage or defects and report discrepancies.

Inventory Management:

Accurately log items into inventory systems (ERP/WMS).

Maintain proper stock rotation and ensure inventory accuracy.

Order Fulfillment:

Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to customer requirements.

Prepare shipping labels and documentation; load products onto trucks safely.

Equipment Operation:

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.

Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.

Additional Duties:

Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1+ year of warehouse or material handling experience preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature environments.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Competencies

Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
