This position will be part of MNIT's Human and Social Digital Services (HSDS) team, which supports agency teams at these state agencies: Department of Human Services (DHS), MNsure, the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), and Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). The MNIT HSDS team combines development and IT operations with a DevOps approach to ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of critical technology systems that serve counties, families, and individuals across Minnesota.

This position will work with another developer on a custom application build on a Low Code Platform (LCP) such as AgileApps. This includes developing the application. This position is also responsible for developing integration capabilities in Microsoft .NET and/or custom user interface development.

Integration work will consist of creating API access to data sources throughout DHS. Both integration and custom user interface development will involve interacting with the API of the LCP.

This position is temporary and includes full state fringe benefits; it is anticipated to last 2 years.

This position requires an employee to be onsite at¿540 Cedar Street, St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services is available on a limited basis. Employees will be required to meet current telework eligibility requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of two (2) years of IT related experience in low code applications such as AgileApps or similar, C#, JavaScript, Java.

Experience must include:

An understanding of Agile Development practices

Knowledge of API integration

Ability to plan and follow work directions and guidance from other developer

Basic working knowledge of system development methodology

Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.

Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

A bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for two (2) years of experience, OR an IT or related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year.

Preferred Qualifications

Some experience with SQL and SQL Databases

¿Strong AgileApps experience
