Responsibilities As Insider Threat Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Monitor various data feeds to the Insider Threat Program (ITP) and evaluates intelligence to determine and identify potential insider threats. You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Conducting inquiries into suspected insider threat activity related to an agency; Utilizing computer forensic techniques to assist in aspects of operational activities to identify threats; Monitoring computer networks for anomalous or unauthorized activities; and Conducting inquiries, fact finding, and data analysis within various intelligence and other data bases that may contain information relevant to the identification of potential threats. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Gathering, identifying and integrating data on potential insider threat incidents from various sources; Utilizing automated analytics systems, web logs, and User Activity Monitoring to identify behavioral and technical threat indicators; and Documenting and classifying insider threat information, and reporting potential incidents to relevant stakeholders, departments, and/or agencies.
