Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer who will be responsible for designing and managing a variety of projects. This role involves preparing detailed plans, interacting with clients, and leading project teams to successful completion.

Responsibilities

Prepare site, subdivision, and grading plans.

Perform drainage calculations and design stormwater management systems.

Create road construction plans and cost estimates.

Develop specifications for public bidding.

Design septic systems, retaining walls, and structural components.

Interact with clients and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on technical projects.

Attend board meetings and provide expert testimony at public hearings.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience in civil engineering.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Proficiency in designing stormwater drainage calculations using Carlson Civil Software.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Knowledge of NJ land development and regulatory processes.

Ability to manage projects independently and delegate tasks to junior staff.

Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with clients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and on track for Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

This role requires being in the office five days a week, with approximately 80% of the time dedicated to office design and 20% to field visits and town hall meetings. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
