Company: Ashtabula County Landbank Location: Jefferson, OH Position: Executive Director JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the acquisition, disposition, and demolition of properties; responsible for grant application and administration including providing grant updates and formal reports on a quarterly basis or as requested; manages contracts, including negotiating agreement terms; reviews financial reports showing acquisitions, dispositions, demolitions, reimbursement of money, payback of money, and balances of funds available; assists in the development of current and long-term strategic goals and objectives; develops, manages, and oversees economic development (e.g., home rehabilitation, strategic land assembly, subsequent development of that land, etc.). Represents the County Landbank at speaking engagements, conferences, or other informational or educational sessions; conducts community outreach to establish strategic partnerships and develops programs that address community challenges; implements community services and programming. Prepares various documents related to the Landbank (e.g., preparation of deeds); transfers and records deeds; retains, updates, and electronically files office records; assists with creating and adhering to the annual budget; prepares and conducts monthly Board meetings. Fields questions or other correspondence from members of the general public or other government entities via phone or e-mail, and either provides the appropriate answer or directs the individual to the appropriate office; prepares correspondence and other documents. Inspects properties and updates the property's information; photographs the property for records MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study, Bachelor's Degree preferred in a related field with four (4) or more years of experience in non-profit, community development, or governmental operations including experience supervising employees; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
