Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Westbury, New York. This role involves managing key financial processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and contributing to month-end closings. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise and a detail-oriented approach to support the organization's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, maintaining clear records and timely processing.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Monitor and maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts.

Provide support for ad hoc financial projects as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Strong proficiency in general ledger management and journal entries.

Expertise in account and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.

Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable operations.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
