Verdantas is seeking a Staff Engineer II at our Newark, Ohio Office. This opportunity is ideal for emerging professionals ready to transition from academic learning to impactful, real-world engineering.

As a Staff II Engineer, you'll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous growth as we work on a variety of projects for local cities and villages. You'll contribute to meaningful projects that drive environmental and infrastructure solutions, while gaining hands-on experience in design, development, and problem-solving.

What You'll Do:

Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design

Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources:

Assist the Municipal group

Prepare site, utility, and roadway plans for agency/municipal review

Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications

Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors

Manage construction projects

Construction inspector as needed

Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put in the full effort towards the task at hand

The candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

2-4 years of experience in site or roadway engineering

Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software is preferred

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred

EIT Preferred

Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Salary Range:

75,000.00 - 85,000.00
