Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Johnston, Iowa. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing medical billing operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Process third-party billing across various locations to ensure timely and accurate claim submissions.

Stay informed about Medicare and Skilled billing regulations to maintain compliance.

Manage co-insurance calculations, cash posting, and collections for Medicare and commercial insurance accounts.

Resolve issues with delinquent accounts and address credit balances effectively.

Collaborate with providers, finance teams, auditors, and state agencies to streamline billing processes.

Update rates and maintain billing software tables to ensure system accuracy.

Coordinate with office managers, therapy providers, and nursing directors to ensure accurate billing workflows.

Communicate financial and billing details clearly with clients, responsible parties, and therapy providers.

Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive client and organizational data.

Participate in team projects and contribute to improving billing operations. Requirements - Proven experience with Medicaid and Medicare billing processes.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and procedures.

Proficiency in medical billing, coding, collections, and claims management.

Familiarity with ePACES or similar billing software systems.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and billing compliance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
