role provides support to the Counselor Education and Counseling
Psychology (CECP ) department. Support includes purchasing, scheduling,
advising, supervising student employees, and assisting all CECP faculty
with on-campus and online program and curricular activities. Duties and
Responsibilities 1. Perform on-campus and online CECP graduate course
scheduling in collaboration with the Chair of CECP ; enter course codes
and distribute course permission numbers. Participate in course approval
and bulletin updates. Facilitate course adjustments, enrollment
adjustments, classroom/meeting assigning/adjusting and admission updates
for on-campus and online graduate programs. 2. Participate in academic
and pre-service advising for graduate students (including maintaining
graduate files and working directly with the Graduate School) in
consultation with the Program Directors (School Counseling, CMHC and
Counseling Psychology) and Chair of CECP . Provide curriculum
information with graduate students as the first contact and as desirable
or necessary afterwards. Assist Program Directors and Chair of CECP with
preparing graduate student handbooks, forms and collaborating with
editing Graduate Bulletin. Prepare and submit graduation verification
and licensure forms in conjunction with Program Directors. 3. Facilitate
and record expenditures from the department budget including travel
expenses, reimbursements, office supplies, and grant work. 4. Plan
events for on-campus master\'s and doctoral interviews, new student
orientations, department colloquiums, poster events, meetings, and other
misc. department and student events as needed. 5. Serve as an
administrative advisor to the CECP Graduate Student Organization (GSO ).
Provide consultation on university policies and procedures, serve as the
assistant academic advisor, and oversee social event planning, and
organization of diversity scholarship. 6. Work with Chair of CECP to
prepare assessment and required accreditation data for the on-campus and
online programs along with collecting and recording alumni survey data
to prepare reports for CECP programs. 7. Assist in faculty and staff
searches. Schedule and record minutes at departmental meetings and
student meetings, prepare promotion and tenure dossiers, provide
assistance and training to adjunct instructors and supervisors. 8.
Coordinate communication about scholarship opportunities to program
students, and work with CECP faculty to communicate scholarships, travel
reimbursements and financial aid opportunities. 9. Responsible for the
supervision of student employees which includes but is not limited to
hiring, training, disciplinary actions, ending the student\'s
assignment, etc. This includes oversight of event and operations
student-staff. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor\'s degree in Education,
Psychology, Business, Communications, or other related field of study. A
minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Strong organizational,
interpersonal, and communication skills. Commitment to diversity,
equity, inclusion; ability and desire to work and communicate across
cultures and with a diverse population of faculty and students.
Commitment to and ability to maintain confidentiality and have critical
judgement and discretionary capacity. Must be able to work both
autonomously and on a team while displaying excellent project and time
management skills. Experience coordinating processes and/or events.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Supervisory experience. A
history of excellent customer service including problem solving, with a
courteous demeanor. Work within a counseling or clinical mental health
counseling profession. Work within higher education. Department: College
