Job Description:
Summary:
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of a formal Information Technology Disaster Recovery Program/Plan (IT DRPP) and strategy that is executable cost-effective, secure, and reliable. The IT DRPP includes detailed procedures and responsibilities to recover the organizations identified mission-critical systems and data for resumption of services in the event of declared disaster or severely impaired operations.
The IT DRPP is an essential subcomponent of the Business Continuity (BC)/Business Resilience (BR) strategic objectives applied to the organizational dependencies of an available IT infrastructure and associated resources to minimize and resolve business disruption and loss of capabilities due to natural and/or human events.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Collaborates with IT and business partners during all phases of the DR lifecycle (planning, testing, exercise execution, reporting, remediation, restoration, and compliance).
Develops DR tools and templates to enable a consistent, well-integrated approach to DR readiness.
Works with IT and business subject matter experts (SME's) to ensure DR requirements are captured, engineered, and implemented in support of DR exercise/tests and in conjunction with production go-live requirements.
Develops, executes, and manages the semi-annual enterprise DR exercise/tests in cooperation with BC/BR. Provides regular status updates to Leadership throughout the duration of the exercise.
Manages the DR Virtual Command Center (VCC) for the duration of the DR exercise; develops all associated procedures; and is responsible for all activities, decisions, management escalation, and reporting throughout the exercise lifecycle.
Identifies critical operations, systems, services, and resources core to the execution and recovery of business-critical infrastructure, services, data, and resources.
Schedule, coordinate and manage mini DR tests throughout the year when appropriate.
Directs the development of testing strategy, testing criteria, project plans, document plans, and results, as well as aligns the appropriate IT and business resources.
Responsible for post-mortem and continual service improvement (CSI) activities, develops post DR exercise/test improvement plans, reports on and manages the improvement/action resolution process, and focuses on identifying opportunities for improvement versus pass/fail.
Monitors IT related reports for anomalies or failure rate that may impact DR plans.
Understands inventory of IT assets, identifies dependencies, understands and mitigates configuration drift, integrates corporate change management with DR plans, and tracks projects and currency with DR plans where applicable.
Assists with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, guidelines, and deliverables for DR compliance as applicable.
Develops and maintains standards and procedures for recovery documentation.
Keeps pace with current technology trends and adjusts DRPP accordingly.
Develops and maintains disaster recovery program metrics.
Works with business, application, and services of critical technology vendors to ensure support adherence to Lifetime Healthcare Companies during DR exercise/tests and critical events.
Assists with the development of capital and operating budgets as needed.
Mentors and educates on disaster recovery objectives and corporate responsibilities.
Collaborates and reports program status to BC/BR; facilitates weekly meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors in science (BS) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in comprehensive IT Disaster Recovery solutioning, planning, executing, and managing experience. In lieu of degree, eleven (11) cumulative years of experience in related area; five (5) of which are Project Management, Technical Requirements, or comprehensive IT Disaster Recovery solutioning, planning, executing, and managing experience.
Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies, storage, compute, virtualization, database, middleware, network operations/services, data replication technology, end user computing (EUC) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), cloud services, hosted solutions, and hybrid environments.
Experience writing process documentation including technical diagram workflows required.
Managing large scale plans across multiple geographic areas including recovery exercise/testing at designated sites in related area preferred.
Ability to understand current technology trends and solutions, such as HCI, DRaaS, both cloud/hosted and on-premise solutions and incorporate into existing IT DRPP.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly available active/active, active/passive failover capable solutions and application failover readiness preferred.
Knowledgeable with audit control processes, Information Security, and Incident Management.
Demonstrated ability to lead the development of short to mid-range projects that tie to long term strategic plans.
Strong personnel management skills and ability to manage teams in a virtual environment.
Experience must include the ability to interface with managers and staff at all levels within the organization and to engage at a professional level with external consultants, vendors, and disaster recovery services.
Experience with EUC tools, MS M365, Project Management, Automation, ServiceNow, and Enterprise Monitoring preferred.
Experience in the healthcare and financial services industries preferred.
This position is on call 24 x 7, with occasional travel required for Disaster Recovery Testing and BCP activities across all regions of the Lifetime Healthcare Companies
Physical Requirements:
Ability to complete work in a traditional office environment under fluorescent lighting.
Ability to orally communicate.
Must be able to function while sitting at a desk viewing a computer and using a keyboard and mouse for 3 or more hours at a time.
Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.
Ability to travel across the region
