Responsible for monitoring assigned grants made available to the Department of Public Safety. Responsible for monitoring all financial transactions in coordination with divisions for those grants in USAS, CAPPS and all required financial reporting to grantors and oversight agencies on the use of those funds. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally applicable to this position. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:Education and#8211; Graduation from an accredited two-year college or university with a major in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field is required.Experience and#8211; Minimum of one (1) yearsand#8217; experience performing complex budget accounting including preparing financial reports, analysis of account activity, capital expenditures, or auditing financial records is required. Substitution Note: Additional work experience of the @type described or other related education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. Note: Thirty (30) semestersand#8217; hours will be considered equivalent to one (1) year of education.Licensure and/or Certification and#8211; Must possess a valid driver license from state of residence. Regulatory Knowledge and#8211; Working knowledge of State Comptrollerand#8217;s accounting policies and statements. Working knowledge of Federal and State laws (e.g., General Appropriations Act and Office of Management and Budget Circulars).
