About the Role:
The Strategic Account Manager role serves as the primary commercial lead for an our largest global Professional Services customers. They are focused on driving net revenue growth by fostering strong client relationships and delivering comprehensive solutions across the full MI product suite.
The Team:
The Strategics Account Management team is responsible for maintaining and growth our global relationships with the Big 4 Accounting firms, totaling over $75M in business across the MI product suite. The team acts as the face of SPGMI to these strategic relationships, coordinating and facilitating conversations with all partnering support teams across the MI org. The team is proactive in problem-solving and adept at anticipating client issues before they arise, which is a result of expert account knowledge and relationship building within these complex accounts holistically.
Responsibilities and Impact:
The Strategic AM is the central point of contact, responsible for collaborating across internal functions to deliver a cohesive customer experience. They deeply understand the client business strategies and market demands, which helps them provide client insights and identify opportunities for growth and retention, unlocking a value for both our customers and for MI.
Planning and Execution:
Serve as the primary point of contact for two of our top Strategic Accountants globally.
Holistic understanding of the account including business objectives, budget cycles, organizational structure, critical needs, and ongoing opportunities
Build multi-threaded relationships across client stakeholders and workflows, serving as a trusted advisor for solving client's business challenges
Develop and execute on account growth plans in partnership with Sales Specialists and Business Partners
Renewal Strategy, Proposal & Negotiation:
Account Analysis to prepare for renewal discussions
Lead renewal and expansion negotiations
Work with legal/procurement to finalize contracts and pricing changes.
Identify and mitigate account risks
Client Engagement & Coverage:
Understand account health and introduce internal resources as needed
Build industry knowledge and expertise to advise clients on best practices
Establish key relationships and champions within accounts
Promote adoption of new offerings, capabilities, or modules
Be the voice of the client internally
Cross Functional Coordination:
Coordinate resources to develop comprehensive solutions to meet client needs
Collaborate with Sales Specialists, Business and Implementation teams to involve the right resources to meet client needs, making warm introductions as needed
Provide client feedback to inform product roadmap and service improvements
Ensure alignment with CCO Strategy for key accounts
Compensation/Benefits Information : (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $124,192 to $185,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We Are Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in managing complex, global accounts with high, annual growth goals associated
Adapt at handling all aspects of a commercial relationship - sales, retention, and support. This is an all encompassing role where the Account Manager has to have confidence in handling any conversation to come their way.
BA required, MBA preferred
Institutional knowledge of the global professional services space required, accounting industry preferred.
- Ability to communication effectively and for influence with both dynamic clients at some of the worlds largest organizations, as well as internally with our key support partners across SPMGI.
-Organization is paramount given the complex nature of these accounts
-Leading with Executive Presence and a willingness to be an outward and vocal presence representing SPGMI with external opportunities when the opportunity arises.
