Job Title: ENTRY LEVEL Assembler

Job Description

Engage in assembly tasks within the dye room and operate braiding machines to produce medical-grade sutures. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, ensuring the production of high-quality medical products.

Responsibilities

Perform simple assembly tasks in the dye room according to established procedures.

Handle small components and ensure proper dye application.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Follow safety and quality standards for medical-grade products.

Operate braiding machines to produce medical-grade sutures.

Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed.

Inspect finished products for quality compliance.

Maintain accurate production records.

Essential Skills

Attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in dye application and assembly.

Manual dexterity for handling small components.

Quality focus to follow strict medical-grade standards.

Basic math and measurement skills for dye ratios and component checks.

Reliability and time management for consistent attendance and meeting production goals.

Mechanical aptitude for understanding machine operation and troubleshooting.

Hand-eye coordination for monitoring the braiding process.

Problem-solving skills for adjusting machines for optimal performance.

Quality assurance skills for inspecting finished sutures for compliance.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in blueprint reading and assembly is beneficial.

Work Environment

The assembly position is located in a climate-controlled dye room with a sit-down arrangement, ensuring a quiet and clean environment. The braiding position is on a climate-controlled production floor with a stand-up setting, involving light machine operation. Safety gear is provided due to a loud noise level.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fall River, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
