Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Sales Executives, focusing on sales performance, production results, training, and development within a given state or states. The position requires coordinating sales planning, strategic initiatives, execution of results, and performance accountability and management.
Position Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy:
Coordinate sales planning, identify gaps, and develop action plans to achieve goals.
Collaborates with internal partners to achieve intended outcomes.
Supervise and assess ongoing new business results and promptly anticipate and address negative new business variances or trends.
Coaching and Development:
Build and maintain a sales-focused culture
Mentor and develop, problem solve and strategize with the sales team to develop revenue opportunities.
Proactively and consistently communicate the Kemper Auto vision and goals in alignment with expectations from the sales team.
Performance tracking and reporting- hold sales team accountable to op model standards, top line goals, and sales strategies relative to intended outcome.
Agency Management and Support:
Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to assist sales team and agents in identifying opportunities.
Attend and deliver quarterly reporting and reviews with to agency relationships.
Provides an outstanding experience for agents through consultative selling.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with agents at all levels within the agency.
Drives new business growth, mix of business, retention, and profitability within assigned territory.
Stays current on product and pricing trends to drive intended outcomes.
Collaboration and Mentoring
Actively participates in regional strategy meetings to develop and lead execution of business goals.
Assist in the implementation of new production launches.
Coach and mentor peers, transitioning from an individual contributor to a team lead.
Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external relationships to ensure the achievement of goals and outcomes.
Product Knowledge
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Kemper Auto Personal and Commercial product
Position Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree preferred.
7+ years of sales experience and insurance industry experience and 3+ years leading others

This position is a remote role. Work can be conducted out of a home office in the North or Central Florida area. The qualified candidate will need to be able to travel within the area regularly.?

The range for this position is $95,900 to $159,700. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and Kemper benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
